You'll join a team of talented and passionate people who are motivated to make our community as strong and resilient as possible.

HOURS: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week. 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Intake Staff serves as a member of our Concord Area Resource Center team. Primarily, this position is responsible for processing Fuel and Electric Assistance applications in a timely and accurate manner. 

PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITES: 

  • Performs client intake and outreach for Community Action programs. Responsible for verifying and documenting information as required by each program and insuring confidentiality of client information. 
  • Familiarizes clients with the Agency and its programs.
  • Assists with operating and maintaining the food pantry at the area center, including preparing and distributing food boxes/bags.
  • Organizes food pantry, including stocking, organizing and inventory as well as unloading and putting away food from USDA and other donations. 
  • Acquires accurate information about other agencies, programs, and services in the area, and refers clients to appropriate services when needed.
  • Assists in general office functions, including filing, and cleaning.

  • Present a professional and positive image as a representative of CAPBM.
  • Follow established policies and procedures and comply with all safety requirements.
  • Communicate proactively with the supervisor regarding workflow, problems, suggestions, etc.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment; and attend team and staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Be punctual for scheduled work, use time appropriately, and complete work in a timely fashion with minimal errors.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Two years of prior experience in a human/social services support position.
  • A strong desire to assist others in helping themselves is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and good written communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of local human service agencies and programs.
  • General office skills including data entry.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalency credential. 

License/Certification:

  • Successful completion of criminal record check.
  • Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation for required travel.
