You will be responsible for recruiting, placing, retaining and investing in our volunteers! Volunteers are the critical engine to our daily operations of serving the community. Community Action House is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to support our volunteer-powered programs which ensure every neighbor has good food, a safe home, and the opportunities to achieve their potential. Community Action House has an established network of 300 regular volunteers, and 500 yearly volunteers. Our volunteer team is a diverse group of caring, invested, and passionate people. The Volunteer Coordinator will work to harness, inspire, and activate this wonderful community!The Volunteer Coordinator will be the main point of contact for volunteers with our programs, and will work with program leaders to assess and support their volunteer, onboarding & training, and recruiting efforts. A successful candidate will be a strong, responsive, and clear communicator. They will be capable of building trusting relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.The Volunteer Coordinator will be part of the People & Culture Team, which supports all of the people behind our programs and operations (staff & volunteers), and creates an exceptional working environment for all who serve at Community Action House.
