Job Description

As CAU’s Social Community / Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and executing the organization’s social media strategy that engages our audiences and reflects our brand values. You will play a key role in building and managing our online community, developing engaging content, and reporting on the performance of social media campaigns. Primary responsibilities also include event coordination and other administrative functions that ensure the day to day activities of the Development department operate smoothly. EOE

Social Community

  • Gather, organize and schedule content to be published through CAU’s current social media platforms as well as any new/emerging social media platforms
  • Together with CAU’s Marketing Manager, write and edit compelling social media copy with the purpose of engaging the network’s online communities
  • Capture content for CAU social media channels by attending CAU community events, visiting CAU facilities and generally staying abreast of and recording all social media-worth agency activities.
  • Build and maintain a strong online community by engaging our followers, responding to comments and messages and fostering meaningful interactions
  • Analyze data and prepare reports that develop insights and communicate best practices and recommendations back to the team
  • Leverage social media reporting tools to organize, manage and measure CAU’s overall social performance and impact.
  • Manage CAU’s social media content calendar
  • Assist with conception, planning and implementation of all digital assets for brand campaigns, social media and brand marketing
  • Identify opportunities to post ads via Instagram / Facebook, create such ads
  • Assist in strategy and development of influencer relations
  • Continuously research and explore new social media/marketing features and trends to inform content needs

Marketing

  • Provide administrative and project-level support for the Development team with an emphasis on event planning and management, as well as stewardship and fundraising activities
  • Plan and prepare for events by creating marketing material, liaising with vendors and internal resources, gathering and organizing auction items as well as attending events in a support capacity
  • Process donations, acknowledgment letters, invoices and payment in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensures the maintenance, confidentiality, accuracy and timely entry of all donor information into CAU systems
  • Work collaboratively with internal staff (program directors and other employees) and external partners/vendors
  • Assist with the organization’s print, digital, and overall communications strategy
  • Attend internal and external events
  • Research new prospects to expand CAU’s pipeline across revenue streams

Experience

  • 2 years managing social media marketing for a brand, organization or business
  • Platform experience and expertise (in a professional capacity) for Meta (Facebook and Instagram) as well as other major social networks including LinkedIn and YouTube
  • Hands-on experience with social media management tools and systems used for publishing, listening, advertising and approval workflows
  • Experience working in Canva and Publer highly preferred
  • Experience setting up, running and managing ads on Facebook Ads Manager
  • High accountability and excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, adapt and grow as our organization, methods and tools evolve
