Community Access Unlimited is Hiring a Full Time Behaviorist - LSW Near Elizabeth, NJ

Job Description

Social Service agency is seeking a Full Time Behaviorist with a desire to make a difference in someone's life!

Responsibilities include completing assessments, group/individual counseling, treatment plans, and documentation.

The ideal candidate is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and has one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule and must have a valid driver's license and a vehicle for work purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses each individual’s needs and develops an effective counseling/support relationship
  • Provide counseling as needed
  • Work on coping skills, behaviors and frustration tolerance
  • Provide group and individual counseling as well as treatment plans 
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and a youth population
  • Valid driver's license
  • Car to use for work purposes
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
