Communications Engineering Company is Hiring a CEO Near Berlin, WI

OBJECTIVE: Collaborate with Owners and Board of Directors to develop and document desired performance outcomes, cultural expectations and financial goals. Lead executive team in translating these goals into a vision, strategy, operations plan and financial plan that delivers success to the organization and stakeholders. Have a strong outward focus to see the opportunity and risk in the market and drive market positioning for long term growth and success. The CEO will be the voice of the brand and embody the cultural identity of the company.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

The CEO is responsible for all aspects of the company operations and financial performance. Building high performing teams aligned to the strategic vision of the organization is a strength of this individual. This role partners with functional teams to work as a well-orchestrated whole to deliver superior customer experience which differentiates CEC in the market.

Strategic Planning & Execution: Have strong outward focus on market opportunities and risks. Experience with and passion for evolving enterprise level technology and the application of technology to key verticals. Support a 3 -year planning and business modeling cycle to continually evolve the organization for long term growth and success. Operationalize strategy to enable key leaders to build tactical plans to move the organization forward in meeting goals.

Financial Management: Strong P&L and Balance Sheet planning and management. Communicating to team and holding everyone accountable to financial performance expectations. Develop and manage against Key Performance Indicators cross functionally to support team in understanding the financial health of the organization. Drive Return on Asset for the Owners. Relationship building with banking, insurance, legal, audit, tax and other professional services to gain insight, perspective on these disciplines and provide outside oversight.

Leadership & Cross Functional Management: Continued Leadership development to grow culture of learning, customer focus, technical mastery, and passion for our work. Align management team to core goals and deliverables through clear communication and organization structure allowing for understanding of authority and responsibility in decision making.

Communication: Ensuring regular, transparent and clear communication across the organization is a core responsibility. The ability to target the right messaging to the audience is essential. Data gathering in the company, in the market, with vendors and with customers and assembling this in impactful messaging is a primary competency.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership Team.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 15 years of executive leadership in technology business including service or vendor. 15 years equivalency of time in the systems integration industry at senior leadership level.
  • Proven success in driving P&L results in a $40M sized organization.
  • 15 years experience with strategy and go to market plan for a technology business.
  • Experience of managing a board or participating in high level board communication.
  • 15 years experience with a family -owned business.

  • Ability to demonstrate robust leadership at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations.
  • Demonstrates personal accountability to goals and drives organizational accountability.
  • Build and communicate vision cross functionally.
  • Translate vision into tactical, operationalized plans team will execute against.
  • Strong data-driven problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.


OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • M&A experience
  • Technology specific experience: infrastructure, IT, critical communication systems, security systems, fire systems.
  • Participation in national industry organizations: BICSI, ISC, Healthcare, K-12 PASS, etc.

  • Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • The duties of this job require the employee to effectively speak and hear English language communications.
  • The employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit and use hands and fingers.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Above average intellectual ability and excellent judgment are needed to deal effectively with a wide range of problem solving and trouble shooting activities.
  • This job is primarily located in a private office.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
