Communication Express, LLC is Hiring a School Psychologist Near Thornton, CO

37.5 hours/week - in-person

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team. As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health and well-being of students. Your expertise will contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide counseling services to students dealing with emotional, behavioral, or social challenges
- Implement evidence-based interventions and strategies to support students' academic and social-emotional development
- Conduct crisis interventions and provide support during emergencies or traumatic events
- Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
- Collaborate with school staff to create positive behavior support plans for students
- Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide programs aimed at promoting mental health and well-being
- Provide consultation and training to teachers and staff on topics related to mental health, behavior management, and learning strategies

Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working as a School Psychologist or in a related field
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting
- Proficiency in conducting psychological assessments and interpreting assessment results
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and procedures
- Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and protocols
- Strong understanding of mental health counseling principles and techniques
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Excellent data collection and analysis skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to psychological assessments

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour

License/Certification:

  • Certified School Psychologist (Preferred)
