This Direct Care Staff training is approved through the Dept. of Social Services for Assisted Living Facilities

Training Program Overview

Hours : This is a hybrid model course that includes 40 hours of classroom-setting training and 20 hours of hands-on training.

Overview : Do you love being a caregiver and have a sincere passion for working with seniors? Our Direct Care Support team serves our residents in several ways including personal needs, grooming and hygiene, laundering, social interactions, and meals.

The main objective of this position is to possess a big heart and a need to serve while you monitor the resident’s comfort and respond to their physical and emotional needs.

Commonwealth Senior Living, in partnership with Argentum and Hamilton-Ryker, has joined the mission to grow our healthcare workforce in partnership through the Healthcare Apprenticeship Expansion Program (HAEP).

This program helps address the skills gap in the healthcare industry by growing a strong network of associates with industry-identified needs.

Successful apprentices will have the opportunity to continue to advance their careers if they choose to do so through various paths within the organization.

Position : PRN, a few days each week, either from 7am-7pm or 11pm-7am

Qualifications :

Possessing your state PCA or CNA certification would be ideal but not required. Commonwealth Senior Living will provide paid training to get you certified.
