In this position, your main responsibilities will include ensuring the development of quality plans and reviewing requests for revisions to traffic-related plans and signage. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing any additional duties assigned by the Operations Section Supervisor. Your role will also involve improving communication between different groups within the organization and providing excellent customer service to public agencies and individuals. You will be responsible for inputting sign work notifications into SAP for multiple counties in the district, ensuring timely delivery to the appropriate maintenance office. Furthermore, you will be required to provide pavement marking details for county contracts, which will involve investigating field conditions and attending pre-construction meetings as the Traffic Unit representative. Your focus will be on customer communication, answering questions and addressing complaints through various channels, as well as meeting with stakeholders as necessary. You will also review requests for different types of signage and provide work orders to the maintenance crews. Additionally, you will conduct a district-wide program to review signs for compliance with current standards. Another aspect of your role will involve coordinating the preparation of contract bid proposals and specifications for the Sign Maintenance Program. You will independently analyze traffic control issues and design appropriate solutions. Furthermore, you will review pavement marking and traffic control plans, and provide support for tort cases. Finally, you will perform any other related duties as assigned.
