Within this role, you will provide career guidance to assist job seekers in making and carrying out career decisions, identify barriers to employment or training, and provide a resource for career assessment and vocational interests and alternatives.
You will coordinate and provide direct case management services including assisting the job seeker in developing long and short-term employment goals, creating and modifying an Individual Employment Plan, coordinating support and related services with other service providers, and tracking individual progress.
A Career Advisor provides intake services individually and in-group sessions to job seekers and employers. Work may include direct entry and updating of records in the PA CareerLink® web-based system and providing instructions to job seekers and employers on the use of the system.
