Job Duties

Position provides a variety of procurement and administrative duties to support the Department of Corrections (DOC) Headquarters' Procurement & Risk Management Unit. Provides administrative and general office support functions to end-users within the Financial Management and Reporting's, Procurement and Risk Management Unit (PRM). This position may be requested to assist other Units within the Financial Management and Reporting's, such as Budget, Payroll, General Accounting, Financial Systems/Payroll from time-to-time. This position reports directly to the Director of Procurement and Risk Management. In the absence of the Director of Procurement and Risk Manager, this position shall report to the Procurement Manager. This position will serve as the Primary PA of the Small Purchase Charge Card Program. In addition to administrative and general office support functions, this position shall also serve as liaison to the Webmaster for posting updates to the public VADOC webpage and is responsible for posting updates to the VADOC iDOC webpage.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Graduate or equivalent. Experience working in eVA (State Procurement System). Experience in office management functions, customer service, and executive level support in a professional setting. Working knowledge of general office practices. Experience using automated office equipment regarding accomplish administrative functions. Working knowledge of the Agency Procurement and Surplus Property Manual (APSPM), the Virginia Public Procurement Act (VPPA) and DOC's Procurement Procedures 260.1. Skill in operating computer software/hardware, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to work independently and maintain effective working relationships.

Additional Considerations

Completion of Virginia Contracting Associate Officer (VCA) procurement certification by The Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR).
