Job Duties

To support the SWVMHI Mission by producing steam for heating, cooking, and hot water in a safe and efficient manner.
To operate boilers and auxiliary equipment in the Power Plant to supply heat and hot water to the facility. Monitor fire alarm and security systems.
General knowledge of operation requirement necessary to produce steam efficiently. General knowledge of repair and maintenance of Power Plant equipment. Ability to interpret readings on gauges and meters and record findings. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
Normal Schedule is: 3rd Shift - Monday - Friday 11:00p.m. - 7:00 a.m. - Straight 8 Hour Shift

Minimum Qualifications

-General knowledge of operation requirement necessary to produce steam efficiently.
-General knowledge of repair and maintenance of Power Plant equipment.
-Ability to interpret readings on gauges and meters and record findings.
-Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
-Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.

Additional Considerations

--High School diploma or GED, strongly preferred
-Experience as a boiler operator
