Job Duties

The Virginia Department of Health Professions’ (DHP) mission is to ensure safe and competent patient care by licensing health professionals, enforcing standards of practice, and providing information to health care practitioners and the public.
The Administrative Coordinator will provide executive paraprofessional support to the Operations Officer (OO) in day-to-day administrative, project management, and operational agency functions. In addition, provide support to Chief Operating Officer (COO) and administrative team members, as directed, to ensure that agency goals, objectives, priorities and required reporting deadlines are met, organizational goals are achieved, and best practices are upheld.

Minimum Qualifications

•Knowledge of general office procedures and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Proficiency with office productivity tools and an aptitude for learning new software and systems.
•Proven interpersonal skills in working effectively with all levels of officials and employees in the public and private sectors.
• Demonstrated time management skills and an ability to organize and coordinate multiple concurrent projects.
•Demonstrated skill in the use of all Microsoft Office applications and automated tracking systems.
• Demonstrated ability in preparing written business correspondence, reports, and forms.
• Excellent professional and customer service skills in communicating with all persons regardless of their position, attitude, or purpose.
•Ability to maintain and coordinate confidential and highly sensitive information.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workflow.
•Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, pay close attention to detail, and complete assigned tasks within established timeframes.
• Flexible team player willing to adapt to changes and navigate challenges.
