THE POSITION
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your organizational skills and strong attention to detail? The Department of Labor & Industry is seeking a Clerical Assistant 2 to provide vital office support within the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Norristown District Office.
This is a temporary grant funded position, which will support initiatives for increasing customer participation in the Vocational Rehabilitation program and to increase services for people with disabilities to secure and maintain employment and independence.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Clerical Assistant 2 , you will have the opportunity to provide direct clerical support for Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors.
Specific duties include transcribing taped dictation, written notes, case notes, and drafted correspondence from assigned counselors and checking for grammatical neatness and accuracy.
You will be responsible for gathering information from potential participants and entering and updating participant records using a web-based application.
You will also generate the automated mailing of the Participant ID letter for new participants, as well as create specialized correspondence as needed.
Within this role, you must establish and maintain a clear understanding of all Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) forms, their function, use, and the information required for completion.

In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Norristown.
