The Office of Human Resources is accepting applications for clerical and administrative support positions for departments throughout the University. Open positions may include both full-time and part-time; temporary and permanent; and long-term and short-term opportunities. Many positions are highly confidential assignments requiring the utmost respect and privacy.

The ideal candidates will demonstrate experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel for communications, reports and calendars; the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment; customer service or student support experience; strong organizational skills; attention to detail; and the ability to communicate effectively across a diverse population.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Serve as first point of contact for students, faculty, parents, and visitors to the department.
  • Answer incoming calls.
  • Provide information accurately and professionally.
  • Manage department email accounts and respond to routine inquiries.
  • Maintain calendars.
  • Schedule meetings and secure conference rooms.
  • Maintain files and records.
  • Prepare communications.
  • Manage reports.
  • Facilitate data collection and entry.
  • Distribute mail.
  • Order office supplies.
  • Serve as a liaison between West Chester University and campus constituents.
  • Arrange travel.
  • Process reimbursements.
  • Create reports and manage data.
  • Create presentations.
  • Monitor and maintain website content.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Six months experience in a clerical / administrative role.
  • One year of work experience using of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher; and/or
  • Customer service experience; and/or
  • Higher education experience; and/or
  • Student support experience; and/or
  • Experience managing calendars; and/or
  • Experience creating communications, reports and presentations; and/or
  • Experience with higher education systems such as PeopleSoft, Banner, SAP, BI, D2L, OnBase or related systems.

The salary range is $18.82 to $23.94
