**6** **th** **Floor Medical Surgical:**

The 6 th Floor Medical Surgical department at St. Anthony Hospital is a medical surgical floor specializing in trauma, surgery, and oncology with 36 beds. Primarily, we care for trauma patients with blunt abdominal/chest traumas after car accidents, falls, and mountain activities such as skiing, mountain biking and hiking injuries. We care for patients requiring mostly abdominal surgeries including appendectomies, colon resections, hernia repairs and serve as the overflow for orthopedic trauma patients including those with hip fractures and tib/fib fractures.

We care for cancer patients, administering chemotherapy and treating neutropenics, accounting for about 10% of our current patient load. Being a part of a Magnet designated hosoital, our mission is to provide the highest level of nursing care in a compassionate manner in order to improve our patients lives. Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Coordinator. In the role of RN Clinical Coordinator you will:

Actively support department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit including shift charge, department and/or service line.

Ensure that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with quality standards.

Act as liaison between physicians and patient care team. Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. Supervise the staff; authorize work procedures and assign duties.

Provides input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates.

Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.

Personally, accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

**1 year of Charge RN experience in an acute care setting, required**

**Associates Degree in Nursing, required**

Chemo certification, preferred

BSN, preferred

**RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required**

Nursing Specialty Certification related to the specialty is strongly preferred

**Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)**

**The schedule for this position will be three 12 hour shifts per week and rotating weekends(7am-7pm)**
