Summit Community Care Clinic is Hiring a Dental Patient Service Representative Near Frisco, CO

Position Summary:

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is the first point of contact with our patients. PSRs assist patients in person and over the phone with scheduling and treatment needs. Don’t know much about dental? No problem! We have a Dental PSR training program you will work through on the job to learn dental terminology, how procedures are done, and the ins and outs of scheduling. Through this program, you can earn merit raises as you progress. We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants and offer both a four- and five-day workweek. Earn up to 22 days of paid time off (PTO) per year PLUS paid holidays. Don’t forget to ask about our $2000 sign-on bonus!


Essential Functions:

  • PSRs are responsible for transitioning the Patient from the point of contact to their appointment, through to patient checkout, maximizing Patient scheduling opportunities with attention to operational flow and the needs of the Patient.
  • Prepare patient records for appointment readiness and integrated services with demographics verification, appointment history, and accurate evaluation of records completion for retention in the Electronic Records system.
  • Support revenue cycle management with payment collection.
  • Participate in team huddles.


Additional Requirements:

  • Grants are a vital part of Care Clinic revenues and directly or indirectly support all positions. This role may have responsibilities that are closely associated with grant deliverables. Grants and grant responsibilities may change over time.
  • Complete all required training as designated by HR and the position supervisor.
  • Adhere to all policies within the organization and those outlined within the SCCC Employee Handbook.
  • Comply with all SCCC Vaccine Mandates.
  • Willingness to travel and work at other SCCC locations as determined by the supervisor.
  • Comply with all applicable Credentialing and Privileging requirements timely.
  • Embrace the SCCC Mission and Vision and agree to work within the SCCC Guiding Principles and the principles set by the position supervisor.
  • Must participate in quality assurance/ improvement activities when applicable.

Education/Experience:

Must haves to be successful:

  • High School or GED required or equivalent work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of digital systems (including Microsoft Office Suite) is required.
  • Critical level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.

Nice to haves:

  • Proficient customer service skills preferably healthcare but not required.
  • Bilingual speaker preferred (English and Spanish).


Work Environment:

The work environment is in a healthcare setting which can be fast-paced and involves working directly with patients and healthcare professionals. The environment is primarily a clinical setting. Many of our patients with chronic diseases have a minimal level of health literacy and a significant number of barriers to accessing health care.
