Responsibilities
* Prepares food for patients, staff, and visitors of the healthcare facility following safe cooking techniques.
* Prepares food for multiple therapeutic diets and complies with state and federal laws and regulations related to food preparation in a healthcare environment.
* Supports quality control measures such as recipe adherence and food quality consistency.
* Knowledge of proper care and maintenance of kitchen areas; ability to ensure sanitation, safety and compliance standards are met in accordance with facility policies and related legal requirements.
* Knowledge of storage, preparation and maintenance of the food services area for hospital facility; ability to use these theories and techniques to provide sanitary, timely and satisfactory meals.
Qualifications
Required Education:
* High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience:
* Two years Food Service experience
Required License:
* Current ServSafe Allergen and Food Handler Certifications. If not currently certified, certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
