Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Insurance Coordinator. As an Insurance Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of insurance claims and verifying patient insurance coverage. This position requires knowledge of dental terminology, experience with indemnity, PPO and medicaid.

Duties:

- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility

- Submission of pre-authorization of various dental procedures

- Review and process insurance claims for accuracy and completeness

- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations

- Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide excellent customer service

- Stay updated on changes in insurance policies, coding guidelines

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred

- Previous experience working in a dental officce

- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, ICD-10, ICD-9 coding systems, and insurance verification processes

- Familiarity with various dental insurance and reimbursement guidelines

- Proficient in using Eaglesoft dental software and electronic dental billing

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working with complex information

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
