Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Unlicensed Clinical Assistant to join our team. As a Unlicensed Clinical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during patient procedures and providing excellent patient care. Your attention to detail, knowledge of dental procedures, and ability to work well in a team environment will contribute to the success of our dental practice.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits by ensuring cleanliness and stocking necessary supplies
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment options
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow within the office
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to aseptic techniques
- Assist with front office tasks such as answering phone calls, verifying insurance information, and processing payments
Skills:
- Proficient in dental assisting techniques, including chairside assisting, instrument passing, and four-handed dentistry
- Knowledge of dental systems such as CAD/CAM technology for crown fabrication
- Ability to perform basic patient assessments, including taking vital signs and recording medical history
- Familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy knowledge
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, dentists, and other team members
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to infection control protocols
