Comfort Systems Mid South is Hiring a Mechanical Construction Project Manager Near Montgomery, AL

Job Summary: Our mechanical construction company is seeking a Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from conception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of mechanical construction projects (both HVAC & Plumbing), ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Project Manager will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that project requirements are met, and that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and effectively. Will also work closely with CAD, OPS, SHOP, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project schedules for members of our team
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, RFI’s & change orders
  • Works well with other co-workers
  • Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with contract documents
  • Manage project risks and develop contingency plans as necessary
  • Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that project requirements are met
  • Supervise and manage project personnel, including field personnel and subcontractors
  • Ensure that project safety standards are met and that all personnel are trained and equipped to work safely
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and quality
  • Resolve project issues and conflicts as they arise
  • Be responsible for all job accounting and financial records on each project managed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical construction project management
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, codes, and standards
  • Estimating experience is a plus
  • Microsoft skills (excel, word etc..)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience with Pro Core is a plus
