We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented professionals to join our Maintenance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all maintenance activities in-house and ensuring that all equipment is operational and that our facilities are well maintained. Maintenance Technicians will support the Facilities Manager in all aspects of equipment operation, preventative maintenance and repair, safety inspections and responding to any facility-related issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Respond to the needs of the guests relating to the maintenance and condition of the hotel, property and grounds
· Inspect hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards
· Complete general repairs and upkeep of operational equipment
· Oversee hotel building systems such as refrigeration, HVAC, electrical and plumbing
· Ensure the safety and attractiveness of all hotel areas
· Perform grounds work and landscaping as needed
· Arrange for preventative and routine maintenance of hotel rooms, lobby and facilities
· Organize repair projects in a manner that will not disturb guests
· Find ways to reduce hotel operating costs and conserve energy
· Maintain expenses and activity logs
· Maintain and order supplies as needed
· Approach all encounters with guests as well as employees in a professional and personalized manner throughout all areas of the hotel
· Maintain regular attendance and timeliness in compliance with hotel standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
· Maintain a professional image and positive attitude at all times
· Actively participate in daily briefings and meetings
· Understand and execute hotel emergency procedures if an incident should occur
· Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service
Management Contributions for Success:
· Provide feedback throughout training process
· Assist with any training that may be required to enhance job performance
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Basic reading, writing and math skills
This job requires the ability to perform the following:
· Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and the ability to push and pull
· Prolonged standing and moving about the hotel
· Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
· Frequently bending, stooping and kneeling
· Able to work alone as well as being a team member
· Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
