 Drives a tractor trailer truck to transport cargo to and from destinations.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Demonstrates the Core Values of Comfort Research in daily actions, execution of tasks and interactions with others.
• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Communicate in a professional manner with co-workers as well as customers
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Audit inventory on and off truck to ensure accuracy
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents and violations
• Assists with loading and unloading product from warehouse racks, per production/ distribution center requirements, to ensure meeting of production goals.
• May learn to operate various machines, including loading and unloading of material, to maintain department and plant production requirements.
• Moves and manipulates products/material weighing up to 50 pounds, involving frequent twisting, lifting, turning, and bending. Continuously pulls, pushes, and tugs materials.
• Performs and cross trains on other job functions as directed; may rotate through various tasks in work area.

Requirements

• Must have a valid & current License and Class A CDL endorsement
• Safe driving record and history
• Pass DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals in the last 3 years; pass a company-paid DOT physical
• Perform essential functions with or without accommodation
•  2 years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving preferred 
•  High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
