Comfort Keepers is Hiring a Lead Caregiver Near Fredericksburg, VA

Job Summary:

This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of resident care, and managing a team of care professionals. The Lead is responsible for fostering a supportive and efficient environment, promoting the well-being and satisfaction of residents, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Resident Care Management:

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, personalized care to residents.
  • Monitor residents' health and well-being, coordinating with administration as needed.

Staff Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of caregivers.
  • Schedule and oversee daily staff activities and shifts.
  • Handle staff performance evaluations and disciplinary actions in collaboration with Quality Assurance Manager.

Operational Oversight:

  • Manage daily operations of the facility, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and standards.

Resident and Family Engagement:

  • Foster positive relationships with residents and their families.
  • Address and resolve resident and family concerns and complaints promptly.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on residents and staff.
  • Coordinate with administration on resident schedules.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role within an assisted living or long-term care facility.
  • Proven experience in resident care management and staff supervision.

Skills :

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in healthcare management software.
  • Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Compassionate and empathetic with a genuine concern for the well-being of elderly residents.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle stress and remain calm in emergencies.

Working Conditions:
