Job Summary
As the Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of all guest rooms and public areas. You will oversee a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards will contribute to the overall guest satisfaction and success of our hotel.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and train a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring they adhere to established cleaning procedures and standards
- Assign and prioritize daily tasks to ensure cleanliness and timely turnover of guest rooms
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas regularly, identifying any maintenance or repair needs
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed
- Monitor and enforce hotel policies and procedures related to cleanliness and safety
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Front Desk and Maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Handle guest complaints or concerns regarding housekeeping services, addressing them promptly and effectively
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
