Description

We are seeking diligent Hotel housekeepers and Housemen who will keep our hotel looking it's absolute best. You will work with a team of cleaning professionals and may be assigned to different shifts each week. Our ideal Hotel Housekeeper/Houseman has a keen eye for detail while handling vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sweeping duties. Candidates with prior cleaning experience are preferred, but we are willing to train hardworking people who are team players.

Requirements

• Service guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures by priority and in a timely manner.
• Transport cart with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens to assigned guest rooms and position securely.
• Ensure guest security by keeping door open when room occupied, block room with cart to prevent unauthorized persons from entering, and verify guest key/key card in door prior to guest entry if guest should return room while cleaning
• Replace towels and bed linens, and replenish guest room supplies
• Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to regulations and hotel requirements. All bottles must be labeled.
• Empty trash containers.
• Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up, and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain /door and floors.
• Dust all furniture, pictures, frames, mirrors, light bulbs, fixtures, switches, TV and remote.
• Realign furniture to floor plan.
• Open all drawers/doors in check-out rooms and remove items if left by guests. Dust inside.
• Check under beds, sofas, and chairs for debris and remove if present.
• Remove dust, spots, and smears from all doors, walls, drapes, windows, ledges, baseboards, AC units, corners, and telephone.
• Inspect condition all amenities and replace as needed.
• Check and clean filters everyday.
• Vacuum and mop the entire room.
• Update status of rooms in Workspot. Communicate with the front desk the status of stayovers and check-outs.
• Stock and restock carts with room supplies. Maintain and clean housekeeping closets and bathrooms.
• Clean public areas including exterior areas, hallways, lobby, and breakfast area as directed.
• Clean and prepare conference space or meeting rooms for meetings or events as directed.
• Assist with laundry including sorting, loading, turning, folding, and scrubbing or stains as directed.
• Ensure security of any guest room keys and turn over Lost & Found items to Front Desk immediately.
• Handle guest requests or complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Deliver baby cribs, extra towels, blankets, rollaway beds, etc. as requested.
• Report and damages, missing items, or maintenance problems to Supervisor, Manager and Front Desk.
• Knowledgeable about Exposure Control policy, Hotel fire, and Emergency Procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of bed bugs. Evaluate that each room is pest-free during routine cleaning. Notify management immediately if signs of infestation are found.
• Assist with luggage handling if necessary
• Perform other essential cleaning duties as operations change in the future.
• Deep clean seasonally.

Benefits

Hourly starting at $11 - $15 plus bonus and benefits
