Job Summary

Responsible for implementing policies and programs which promote the Company's standing in the community. Develops and maintains strong business relationships ensuring a successful corporate/community partnership. Represents the organization at community gatherings and/or forums. Supports the integrated business practices and planning efforts for civic engagement, philanthropy and corporate responsibility investment and reporting; manages and creates relationships with leading corporations, civic engagement and service organizations. Manages a team which may include exempt and non-exempt employees. Serves as Subject Matter Expert and provides guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies. Assists in development and meeting of departmental budget.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Supports execution and planning for digital equity strategic portfolio for engagement and activation efforts to accelerate internet adoption including Internet Essentials, Internet Essentials Partner Program, Lift Zones, RISE and various government stimulus programs supporting broadband adoption.
  • Plan programs that grow the business and enhance the organization's relations with the community, the public, governmental authorities, and employees.
  • Responsible for supporting our network expansion efforts while leveraging social impact experience to drive positive change. This role will play a pivotal role in bridging the digital divide by leveraging Comcast's digital equity assets.
  • Analyzes the needs of the residents of the community as well as plans and implements ways and means in which the company and its employees may become more involved and more effective in meeting those needs through Team UP engagement – volunteerism, Matching Gifts, and learning to become a stronger community leader.
  • The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a strong background in community engagement, social impact, and project management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic plans for network expansion in underserved areas.
  • Utilize social impact expertise to design and implement digital equity initiatives aimed at narrowing the digital divide, ensuring equal access to technology and resources.
  • Lead and manage Comcast's Team UP volunteer initiatives, fostering community relationships and creating a positive impact in newly expanded regions.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with local organizations, government entities, and community leaders to enhance Comcast's community presence and influence.
  • Develop and execute metrics-driven strategies to measure the success and impact of community initiatives, focusing on return on investment (ROI) and meaningful outcomes.
  • Regularly analyze data and provide reports on the progress and effectiveness of network expansion efforts, digital equity initiatives, and volunteer engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with Comcast's corporate social responsibility goals and objectives.
  • Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives.
  • Develops, manages and staffs community events throughout the region. Identifies and coordinates engagement at community events, contributions and sponsorships designed to support business objectives.
  • Implements tracking system to measure effectiveness of initiatives.
