Combined Metals of Chicago LLC is Hiring an Outside Sales Representative Near Southington, CT

Job Duties:

  • Develop a technical knowledge of the products offered, equipment capabilities, company capabilities and product applications
  • Manage the relationship between the company and customers by establishing and cultivating relationships with key individuals within accounts
  • Meet goals that are consistent with the strategic direction of the territory, district and company
  • Develop relationships with prospects and customers to gain an understanding of their specific needs and business personality
  • Develop and maintain positive internal customer relationships with operations, credit, accounting logistics, inside sales and management team members
  • Effectively communicate strategies to appropriate business unit personnel to obtain required support and coordination
  • Develop and utilize standard business practices including pricing, forecasting, distribution and code of ethics
  • Plan and carry out sales initiatives to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, product mix, and time frames
  • Meeting and exceeding assigned goals
  • Effectively communicating activities, opportunities, business cases, and other strategic information about prospective and current clients
  • Be an exemplary representative of our company
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 4 year degree in Business or other related field desired.
  • Minimum 5 years of metals experience with at least 3 years of commercial experience. Service center experience is a plus.
  • Effective critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, a high level of interpersonal skills, the ability to interact with the customer and develop strong personal working relationships at all organizational levels
  • Knowledge of effective sales techniques and strategies.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks concurrently and to work independently. Have an overall business and economic knowledge.
  • Must be proficient with Windows based applications and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Up to 75% travel required in designated territory.
