Location: Moorpark, CA

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000-$135,000 benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The Benefits Program Manager administers benefits programs such as self-insured health and welfare plans, retirement plans, wellness programs, and leaves of absence. This role serves as subject matter expert, analyzes benefits plan performance, develops strategies to enhance employees’ understanding and utilization of AV benefits programs, and strives to maximize return on investment. This position requires strong analytical skills with attention to detail and follow through, strong teamwork and collaborative skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple benefits projects with competing demands in a growing organization.

Responsibilities
  • Manages end-to-end administration of benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance/AD&D, 401k, flexible spending plans, wellness initiatives, education reimbursement, Ride Share, and benefits related to local ordinances and government programs
  • Partners with plan vendors and third-party administrators to ensure services are supplied as agreed
  • Provides guidance in plan interpretation and compliance consistent with plan design and documentation
  • Audits benefits data and reports for accuracy and legal compliance
  • Assists with federal and state compliance reporting
  • Proactively identifies areas for improvement and provides actionable solutions in plan design, service delivery, and data integration
  • Reviews and conducts cost analysis of benefits programs and plan design with an understanding of employee needs and market trends to ensure competitiveness of AV benefits within company budget
  • Recommends policy and program changes and new plan designs
  • Serves as subject matter expert in local, state, and federal rules and regulations for health and welfare plans, retirement plans, leaves of absence, and worker’s compensation including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, etc.
  • Provides timely and compliant benefits communication to employees related to enrolling, maintaining, and understanding AV benefits and supplemental federal and state programs
  • Assists with employee inquiries, invoice processing, and complex claims resolution
  • Administers and maintains COVID-19 process and recordkeeping (partners with EH&S)
  • Member of the Retirement Plan Committee
  • Actively participates in cross-functional People & Culture initiatives to create efficiencies and enhance the employee experience
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in benefits program administration including health and welfare benefits, 401k retirement plans, leaves of absence, and worker’s compensation
  • Experience with Workday and ADP required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including advanced Excel required
  • Current knowledge and experience in employment law, national health care policies, HIPAA, FMLA, ERISA, and associated reporting requirements
  • Experience administering self-insured benefits for a government contractor a plus
  • CEBS certification preferred
