What you need to know about this position:

• The Surgical Services Scheduler, under the direction of the Business Manager, is responsible for accurate, effective scheduling of operative procedures, and operative data collection.
• Key customers include physicians, physician offices, anesthesiologists, department managers, nursing units, and ancillary departments-in this position you would be interacting with these customers in-person, over the phone, through email or other communication methods. 
• The base hourly rate for this position is $18.55. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
• This 40 hr/wk, full-time, position will require you to work 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday and is eligible for benefits.
• This position is for a fixed duration (temporary) with a minimum need for 9-12 months employment. The employee will be provided a minimum of 30-days written notice before the end of the assignment, with an indication of either a need for extended temporary employment time, change to permanent status, or the end of employment.

What is required for this position:

Education and/or Experience

• Associate degree strongly preferred.
• Certification from a college or technical school will be considered with appropriate experience and job skills.
• One-plus year experience in a medical office / hospital environment.
• Knowledge of surgical scheduling, procedures, and processes strongly preferred.
• Active knowledge of medical terminology required.
