In this position, the Camp Counselors facilitate children's participation in daily activities, including sports, music, art, and more, while fostering encouragement and empowerment. They collaborate with the Lead Counselor to ensure the safety, learning, and enjoyment of all participants.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Participate in training and planning time as scheduled as well as ongoing staff meetings through the program time period.
• Responsible for actively managing camp participants, leading classes on designated topics, and supervising field trips.
• Supervise youth during all activities.
• Memorize all emergency procedures and enforcing camp rules.
• Communicate directly and clearly with the Lead Counselor about ongoing programming needs and progress.
• Communicates appropriate information to parents and maintains developmental profiles for camps.
• Accomplish appropriate requested data collection according to set deadlines.

Position Specifications & Desired Requirements:

• Minimum of 18 years old.
• High School Diploma / GED (Required).
• Previous experience working with urban youth.
• Ability to participate in activities, run, climb, lift, and support the weight of children.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to learn other computer software.
• Able to interface with a wide variety of people.
• High level of responsibility and accountability.
• Upbeat, engaging personality.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Experience:

Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

First Aid Certification (Preferred)

CPR Certification (Preferred)

Training 6/12/2024-6/14/2024

Camp Will Last 8 Weeks Starting on 6/17/2024 and Ending on 8/9/2024

Daily Shift Will Be Monday - Friday from 8 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.

Vacation Day:

July, 4th

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Contract

Pay: $3,650.00 per month

• Monday to Friday
