Columbia Technology Partners is Hiring an Oracle Database Administrator Near Annapolis, MD
- Mid-level to senior Oracle DBA with experience with Oracle DataGuard and expert experience with Oracle Database Installations and Upgrades
- Required to do quarterly patching, backup, and recovery with RMAN and query tuning.
- Experience with SQL and PL/SQL.
- Expert experience Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Experience with DB security, DataGuard, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security, and data migration desired
- Excellent communication skills - interface with Govt. and contractor DBEs.
- Solid knowledge of software life-cycle and CM practices.
- Occasional after hours call-in required on an as needed basis (very infrequent).
- BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent years' experience.
- Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills.
- Must be COMPTIA / IAT 2 Certified
- Work location is the NBP corridor.
- An active TS/SCI FS polygraph.
- Minimum General Experience: At least eight (8) years developing and delivering IT business services, or served in that capacity with an organization. May include knowledge of or specialization with any of the following: Solaris/Trusted Solaris/Linux/ or other Unix or Windows operating system; Storage technology including Disc/Tape/SAN/NAS/DAS; Network technology including but not limited to LAN/WAN; Database technology (Oracle, Sybase, SAP, DB2, etc). IT business services, or served in that capacity with an organization. May include knowledge of or specialization with any of the following: Solaris/Trusted Solaris/Linux/ or other Unix or Windows operating system; Storage technology including Disc/Tape/SAN/NAS/DAS; Network technology including but not limited to LAN/WAN; Database technology (Oracle, Sybase, SAP, DB2, etc).
- Functional Responsibility: Provides IT and MIS process and procedure consulting and systems engineering services. Functions as a lead consultant in the areas of developing new or re-engineering processes to ensure quality and efficiency within an organization's IT infrastructure.
- Minimum Education: A BS/MS in Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent years of experience.
