Job Summary:
The Safety Specialist coordinates and supports safety programs, policies, and procedures that meet OSHA and other applicable company and shop safety requirements. This position assists in evaluating company procedures, facilities, and equipment by conducting inspections to identify unsafe conditions and to supports implementing safeguards and solutions.
Being a Safety Specialist means ensuring team members and the organization complies with all current safety regulations and that all employees are aware of safety requirements and are prepared to follow safety procedures. This role will also collect data and reports on all safety and accident events.
