POSITION SUMMARY
The Marina Attendant is responsible for the operation of the Marina at Lakepoint including greeting visitors, operating a computer and cash register, selling Arkansas Game & Fish Licenses, renting, and maintaining motorized boats and kayaks, pumping gas, and answering the telephone. The position requires independent judgment in the disposition of routine matters without direct supervision. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Recreation Operations Manager.
REQUIREMENTS, ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include but are not limited to the following: Provides support for the department. In addition to other duties as assigned, will open the facility on assigned days. Take admission fees, register participants, sell passes, and make other financial transactions, including nightly cash outs and deposits when required. Collect money, issue receipts, and operate a cash drawer in an efficient and accurate manner. The position will require working on most weekends and holidays. Applicants must be available to work Saturdays, Sundays, Memorial Day, Labor Day and Fourth of July.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Greater than 50 pounds may require a team lift. Requires close vision and ability to adjust focus. Specific required movements include the following: trunk-bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry, arm’s reach, and leg-lifts. Must be able to swim. The employee is required to work in a hot environment for extended periods of time. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, the air clean, and generally void of pollutants.
