PositionSummary The Human Resources Generalist is a key member of the HR team andfocuses on building relationships within Colorcon and provides exceptional HRsupport to designated locations/departments. Areas of focus will include employeerelations, performance management, recruiting & onboarding, and learning&development. The HR Generalist is responsible for advancing the company'semployee value proposition through compensation analysis, HR metrics and othercritical initiatives.This role willwork in a team and on their own to support Colorcon's policies, programs, and strategicobjectives for both the HR Department and the North America Latin America NorthRegion.
Responsibilities & Duties - Serve as a partnerto the West Point site for all aspects of Human Resources.
- Partner with businessunits to maintain cohesiveness as it pertains to employee relations.
- Attend weeklydepartmental meetings, liaise with team leaders, supervisors, and managerson a weekly basis, and be responsive with advice on coaching, counseling, investigations,disciplines, and terminations.
- Manage recruiting and onboarding activities to provide an excellent candidate experience, while supporting the sites with quality talent.
- Partner with Supervisor - Talent Acquisition to ensureculture and job fit for all level positions within scope of responsibility.
- Developand provide HR metrics and people-related analysis of available data toassist HR Manager and business leaders with actionable information.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures toincrease the efficiency of departments and services performed (LEANthinking).
- Maintain current and compliant on HR Employment lawsand regulations.
- Exhibit the six values of Colorcon.
- Identify ways to increase quality of the Colorconemployee experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Minimum three years' experience working in HR required.
- Ability to collect, compile and analyze data.
- Experience with training and organizational development.
- Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Oracle HRMS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coach, lead, and partner with employees across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet multiple competing deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity.
- Proficient with MS Office 365 applications.
WorkEnvironment - This role operates in a professionaloffice environment onsite at a manufacturing facility and is required tobe onsite minimum of 4 days/week, with option for 1 remote day/week.
- Working remotely from a home officewill be facilitated when applicable and is at the manager's discretion.
- Ability to travel to upto 10%, annually.
