Position Summary

The Purchasing/Planning Administrator for the No-Tox Purchasing Department provides support to the No-Tox Purchasing/Planning/ Customer Care Supervisor. This role will play a key role in meeting and exceeding the expectations of both internal and external customers, to support Colorcon achieving our goal to be our customers’ “Supplier of Choice”.

Responsibilities & Duties
Planning:

• Generate Reports from Oracle indicating new customer orders.
• Assign manufacturing date and equipment to each new order.
• Create and Release manufacturing batch tickets in Oracle.
• Maintain Excel based production schedules and distribute schedules to manufacturing in a timely manner.
• Monitor and Maintain inventory levels of stock finished goods.

Purchasing:

• Monitor reports indicating raw material shortages (ASCP).
• Generate Purchase Orders using Oracle system for both inventory and non-inventory items.
• Place Purchase orders with vendors via telephone or email with follow-up until received.
• Maintain accurate vendor database including vendor contacts.
• Monitor supply of MRO items replenish as needed. (Cafeteria, cleaning etc.)
• Maintain Purchasing files digitally.
• Maintain SDS files digitally.
• Prepare and issue debit memos for items to be returned to vendor.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain Compliance spread sheet and files.
• Lead or serve as team member for special projects as required.
• Complete inventory cycle count adjustments insuring accurate inventory data.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of sales support/customer service experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of purchasing/planning experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Needs to be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel); knowledge of Oracle is preferred.
• Must possess the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and be flexible.
• Excellent phone skills and communication skills required.
