• meet service quality standards that affect guest satisfaction;
• respond to guest questions or problems in a timely professional manner
• perform general repairs and assigned maintenance duties in a satisfactory and timely manner
• respond to complaints or problems from guests or other departments in a timely manner
• be responsible for maintaining the upkeep, rehabilitation, and maintenance of the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs
• As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the guestrooms and back-of-house areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including, but not limited to, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering, and masonry.
• Inspecting guestrooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to repair, touch up, or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, and other items.
  Performing basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical tasks using hand and power tools.
• Climbing ladders up to 30 feet high, reaching in all directions, often overhead, and lifting weights up to 100 lbs.
• Maintaining detailed records in English for logs and inspection sheets.
• Regular attendance is essential.
• Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the business needs of the hotel.
• Compliance with all Pyramid Hotel Group rules and regulations for safe and efficient hotel operations.
• In addition to the essential functions, you may be required to:
• Report major repairs to the dispatcher and place rooms out of order if necessary.
• Perform duties of a Shift Engineer when required.
• Complete other duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• You must have previous engineering experience.
• Knowledge of all maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry.
• Mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Proficiency in using hand and electric tools.
• Basic English language communication and mathematical skills.
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting.
• Ability to work alone with minimal supervision and handle multiple problems with initiative and good judgment.

Compensation Range: The compensation for this position is $17.50/Hr. - $18.50/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
