As an Accounting Clerk at our Marriott Colorado Springs location, you will play a vital role in our organization, contributing to the success of our finance team. Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk also include the following:
Guest Account Management:
- Post charges and payments to guest accounts accurately.
- Handle PBX duties efficiently.
- Reconcile all Front Desk Agents paperwork for accuracy.
- Print Posting Journals and address any discrepancies.
Financial Record Maintenance:
- Utilize accounting software to maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist in reconciling and balancing all Gift Shop paperwork, including completing the spreadsheet.
- Reconcile and balance all Food & Beverage cashiers' paperwork, ensuring accuracy.
Night Audit and Revenue Processing:
- Perform night audit cut-off procedures.
- Post Room & Tax charges accurately.
- Reconcile and balance all revenue-related paperwork for Food & Beverage outlets.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Run various reports on relevant systems, such as AS400 and HIS.
- Print departing folios and distribute them to guest rooms.
- Complete spreadsheets for Banquet tickets, Food & Beverage, and DREV programs.
System Management:
- Run back-up and IPL on the AS400 system.
- Shutdown the squirrel computer and run necessary reports.
Cash Handling and Balancing:
- Balance cash for all outlets and reconcile discrepancies.
- Run close day on HIS, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Undertake additional projects as needed and assigned.

Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Strong accounting background with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Knowledge of Financial Services Property Management System (FSPMS) is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Previous hospitality experience demonstrating a solid understanding of hotel accounting practices.
