Graduate Admissions Coordinator


ABOUT THIS POSITION

Summary: The Graduate Admissions Coordinator is responsible to the Academic Department Head in supporting the mission and culture of the university and the graduate programs within the Department of Kinesiology. In collaboration with the graduate program directors for the Athletic Training, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant Studies programs, the Graduate Admissions Coordinator oversees all aspects of the admissions process. The Graduate Admissions Coordinator will serve as the first and last contact for prospective students and will work to ensure the application, interview, acceptance and matriculation process is smooth and transparent. As part of that process they will serve as the primary contact for the various centralized application services to ensure all applications are received and reviewed in a timely manner. Through these responsibilities, the Graduate Admissions Coordinator will ensure that CMU is the school of choice for prospective graduate students. Additional essential duties of this role include; organizing and executing recruitment events, creating and maintaining recruitment data, establish and execute recruitment strategies which will include traveling to high school and/or colleges to promote graduate programs, proficiency in applicant portals, Banner, and recruitment CRMs, lead graduate interview processes, develop and distribute marketing materials and other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of two years' related experience in project management.
Proficient with all Microsoft Office Suite applications to include, Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
Excellent organizational skills due to multiple assignments and fluctuating priorities.
Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to communicate effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing.
Preferred:
Experience in a direct support relationship in an institution of higher education or similar type organization preferred.
