Description

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Sr. Marketing/Business Development Specialist will collaborate with our team to increase brand awareness, improve member loyalty, and expand market share. This position will play an important role in the growth of our marketing and business development initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help guide the strategic direction of the Colorado Credit Union’s marketing and business development efforts.
  • Help CCU achieve its core values: Be the Advocate. Embrace Curiosity. Be Compassionate.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop events (in-person or online) to position Colorado Credit Union as a leader in the industry and invested in the community.
  • Guide credit union’s growth strategy including assisting with SEG development and other business development endeavors.
  • Assist with conducting market research and recommends improvements for products and services. Includes research of potential business partnerships and opportunities.
  • Assist with CCU’s public relations efforts including writing news releases and serving as company spokesperson, when necessary.
  • Develop and manage the marketing calendar with marketing and business development activities.
  • Attend industry and other relevant training opportunities to continually improve skillset and stay up to date on trends.
  • Work with marketing team to build social media strategy based on research of industry social media trends, analysis of previous post performance and other tracking tools. Goals should be established to attain audience growth and improved engagement. Social media presence should achieve one of three objectives: engage, educate, inspire.
  • Assist with development of online/digital financial literacy curriculum to be used in local/regional schools and for the general public to market Colorado Credit Union.
  • Video shooting and editing skills to build educational library and online webinars.
  • Updates and maintains organization’s website through CMS application. Makes recommendations for improvements to website layout and functionalities, including online banking and mobile banking sites.
  • Assists with community events, financial education classes, and philanthropic activities.
  • Assist with CRM projects, workflows and campaigns.
  • Supports Marketing and Business Development Team in daily administrative tasks.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to all service standards as outlined in the credit union’s policies and procedures and protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • This position requires work outside of normal business hours and will require travel to other business locations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent knowledge of social media applications including: Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Linked In, You Tube, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with HubSpot or other CRM is a plus.
  • Email marketing experience preferred.
  • Experience with digital marketing, including Google AdWords and Analytics is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Two to five years of prior related work experience in a professional setting required. Five to ten years is preferred.
