Colonie Golf & Country Club in Voorheesville, NY in search of a dynamic Day Camp Director to lead the club’s children’s camp this summer. This fun position will have a direct impact on the member experience and the overall success of the department. Camp is typically held for 5 – 7 weeks during the months of July & August but is flexible based on availability. The ideal candidate will be energetic, outgoing and will enjoy creating a fun and exciting environment. Teachers looking for summer employment or aspiring educators pursuing their Child Development/Early Childhood Education degrees are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

· Ensure the safety of the children participating in the day camp program at all times.

· Plans and schedules all activities for the camp to ensure fun for all children enrolled.

· Needs to be familiar with approved methods of care for young children, ages 4 – 12 years.

· Assists in marketing efforts to build awareness of day camp program. This includes program flyers, promotional activities, returning phone calls, corresponding via e-mail and past participant phone calls.

· Oversees the hiring and training of day camp employees.

· To work with general manager to ensure the financial performance of the day camp meets budget.

· Adheres to all of the written mandatory standards of operation, policies, procedures, manuals, memos and oral instructions of Albany County Department of Health.

Colonie Golf & Country Club is a full-service day resort with golf, tennis, pool and activities for children and adults alike.
