Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk/Customer Service Representative to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining financial records. As a Customer Service Representative you will answer phones and assist customers with various requests.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding and approval
- Verify vendor statements and reconcile discrepancies
- Prepare and process payments to vendors
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any invoice or payment issues
- Answering phones, assisting customers both in person and on phone.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounts payable or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of financial concepts, account reconciliation, and governmental accounting is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
