VP of Sales - Colonial Major Projects (CMP) - National Lighting Distributor

Full-Time - Remote with some travel

The VP of Colonial Major Projects is responsible for bidding and selling Colonial Electric Lighting and Lighting Control Supply’s, Major Projects over 500K. The goal is to secure Major projects by securing bids while establishing and maintaining long term meaningful relationships with businesses that will benefit the company. The VP will oversee these projects to ensure quality and profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

• Find opportunity: Contact customers in our national market to bid work. Use services like Dodge Plans, ISQFT and Building connected to find and bid large new work around the USA.

• Bid: A minimum of 4 large jobs per week in local markets and national markets. VP Sales are responsible for finding bid opportunities for major projects that are equal to or greater than half a million dollars in size.

• Submit: Take Customer RFQ and set up for in-house pricing. Review pricing and scope with EVP for approval. Submit quote to the Contractor.

• Close: Must have ability to close (win) projects with your customers

• Oversee Projects: Provide oversight to the projects. Help prioritize issues while gaining customer attention for CMP issues when staff is having trouble doing so. Maintain Project Progress by driving resolutions as needed. Review jobs using Jobtrack for potential errors, unanticipated profit changes or other improper issues. Ensure customer releases are entered and that corresponding vendor releases are made. Ensure jobs are reconciled against customer POs.

• Follow: Any job issues and ensure timely resolution.

• Customer Relationships: After the job is transitioned to CMP team members the VPSLS shall direct customers to communicate directly to the PM. The VP provides assistance for getting the customer to respond.

• Customer Payments: VP tracks and expedites customer payments and provides support to the CFS team for payment related issues as requested.

• CMP Support and Communication: The VP will provide the CMP team accurate and complete information so they are able to move forward with the job. Attend the kickoff/strategy meetings and conference calls as requested. Assist with getting the customer to respond to the PM. Oversee transfer of information to CMP staff. Escalate PM or other staff performance issues to their manager or EVP.

Our VP will possess the following:

• 5 years minimum in Electrical distribution or Electrical contactor

• Be a self starter

• Be comfortable with remote working environment

• Be willing to travel

• Computer skills required: Gmail, Excel, Word

• Salary and bonus is based on experience
