Job Purpose

The Purchasing Manager is a key leadership role responsible for guiding a team of Purchasing Agents across the enterprise. The role requires strategic planning, efficient execution, contract negotiations, and continuous improvement of purchasing processes that align with the business objectives. The Purchasing Manager will cultivate robust vendor relationships, drive purchasing performance, and contribute to the overall success of the organization. What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of high performing purchasing agents.
• Resolve enterprise-wide purchasing issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments.
• Collaborate with vendors to drive improvements in quality, service, and cost-effectiveness.
• Analyze vendor issues and negotiate pricing requirements.
• Conduct research for materials and process bundle purchasing for multiple office purchases.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for purchasing activities aligned with organizational short- and long-term goals.
• Identify and optimize large buy-out opportunities.
• Review enterprise purchases to ensure bid pricing, top discounts, and lowest prices are achieved.
• Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and vendor performance.

What You'll Bring

• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing purchasing teams in electrical distribution.
• Expertise in negotiating contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable agreements.
• Skill in building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Proficiency in analyzing market trends, pricing data, and industry conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of contract development and management
• Proficient in managing complex procurement projects, including coordinating activities, setting milestones, and ensuring timely delivery.
