Job Title: CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT (CPA)

Job Description: Growing Accounting (CPA) firm in small town, southwestern Wisconsin is hiring a qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA)! Collins & Associates, S.C. in Prairie du Chien does a little bit of everything - tax returns, audits, financial planning - all while having fun! ! Perhaps you have a goal to become partner; we are looking for someone with potential who may have interest within the firm and will continue to grow the business with the current team in place. (Possibly train in La Crosse office and then relocate to work in our Prairie du Chien office).

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (Holiday Pay and Overtime/Saturdays during Tax Season)

Key Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Prepare and review personal and business tax returns (know current federal and state tax laws and regulations)
  • Meet and build relationships with new and existing clients
  • Monthly and quarterly bookkeeping
  • Assist with audit engagements
  • QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) assistance to clients
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently
  • Review client payrolls and other team members' bookkeeping work
  • Keep current licenses and other CPEs
  • Keep confidential records
  • Other office duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Accounting degree AND 2-year Equivalent Related Experience (required)
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks (required)
  • Accounting software (required)

**Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience. (starting ~$65k-$72k)
