Collins Aerospace is looking for a Material Handler who will be responsible for physical inventory movement supporting assembly operations. You will be delivering the final kits/material to the production line. In addition, you will be contributing to the final assembly of these parts for our customers, thus helping Collins Aerospace maintain its standing as one of the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products.

2nd Shift Schedule:

  • Monday – Thursday 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
  • Overtime available on a business need basis.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Label, stock, and retrieve parts in an accurate, timely manner and count, separate and deliver materials where needed.
  • Count and verify parts against supplier packing slips and review for damage.
  • Place incoming material into inventory.
  • Prepare and verify requisition of stock items. Fill bins, kanbans and stocks parts at Point of Use (POU)
  • Perform cycle counts and clipboard counts while making appropriate inventory adjustments. Conduct research in ERP systems to reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Attend and influence Continuous Improvement events.
  • Engage in 5S activities and ensure a FOD free inventory environment.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to walk, stand, reach, stoop, bend, climb, twist, crouch, kneel, turn/pivot, lift up to 40 lbs. for 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, and other PPE as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a HS diploma or GED with 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is typically required.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS Excel and Word experience
  • Cycle counting experience preferred
  • Basic kitting experience preferred
  • Experience with Vertical Lift Modules
