Collier County is Hiring a Field Inspector I (Facilities Management) Near Tamiami, FL

JOB
Review construction plans, inspects construction projects, roadway projects, landscape projects, lake excavations, erosion control and/or air quality in order to ensure compliance with state/local laws, approved construction plans/specifications, legal requirements, and ensure compliance with contract specifications, compliance with applicable local, state and county codes, ordinances, regulations, standards, and specifications.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Review construction plans, inspects construction projects, roadway projects, landscape projects, lake excavations, erosion control and/or air quality in order to ensure compliance with state/local laws, approved construction plans/specifications, legal requirements, and ensure compliance with contract specifications, compliance with applicable local, state and county codes, ordinances, regulations, standards, and specifications.Adheres to safety protocols, employs safety gear, and oversees the work environment to ensure the well-being of employees and others. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards; stays informed about new construction methods, materials, inspection practices, and professional advancements through literature, affiliations, workshops, and training sessions. Undertakes additional tasks as needed.Essential Employees may be required to work during an undeclared emergency and/or declared emergency. On an incident-by-incident basis, the County’s Administrative Office will make the determination as to who will be required to work. This job description is not intended to be and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of all the responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with the position. While it is intended to accurately reflect the position activities and requirements, Management reserves the right to modify, add or remove duties and assign other duties as necessary that are a logical assignment to the position.
