Collegiate Academies is Hiring a 2024-25 Manager of School Operations (New Orleans, LA) Near Orleans, LA

We are a growing organization of charter schools that is expanding significantly in New Orleans and Baton Rouge over the coming years. We are looking for all-star performers to add to our team - individuals deeply committed to the Collegiate Academies mission and to bringing great educators to the team to help achieve it.

As an organization dedicated to older kids, we have a unique opportunity to prove that every child can reach the highest bar - college - or their most rigorous post-secondary option. We are committed to providing college-aligned coursework and curriculum, full high school co-curricular programming, robust mental health services, school wide restorative programming, and specialized programs to serve all types of learners. There are few organizations in education doing these things at the high school level.

The mission of the Manager of School Operations is to manage the day-to-day operations of the network offices and support our current schools through strategic partnerships with school-based operations teams.

The Director of Network Operations contributes to the mission of Collegiate Academies and the success of our students through the support of our network and school-based staff. They must be an enthusiastic, passionate, and reliable partner to our schools and a constant model of excellent customer service. Our ideal candidate has a high bar for operational excellence and is passionate about systems, data and people, the impact of his/her work on students, and CA's mission to build world-class public schools that prepare all students for college success and lives of unlimited opportunity.


Our network team has what they need to hit their goals.

  • Provide the technology, supplies, facilities, and systems our team needs.
  • Manage internal communication effectively within our team network team.
  • Support all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the network offices.
  • Serve as main point of contact for all operational needs in circumstances when the MDO is not available.


We define Operational excellence and support schools in reaching it.

  • Facilitate meaningful collaboration between schools that produces excellent results for students and teachers.
  • Create opportunities to see excellence in action and replicate it by managing all logistics and prep for CA Campus Ops Observations.


Our network and school teams have the data and information they need to serve kids.

  • Maintain systems of knowledge management capture, curate, and organize exemplar resources.
  • Network to School communication is reliable, relevant, and effective.
  • Manage an efficient employee screening process for all new hires.


All schools are fully enrolled by August 1st.

  • Support the Director of Student Recruitment to create meaningful, fun, and persuasive opportunities for in-person engagement with potential students.
  • Generate targeted social media advertising to connect with eligible applicants, build brand awareness, and promote school recruitment events.
  • Use data to evaluate our progress and revise our recruitment practices.


Our vendors meet or exceed their contractual obligations and performance goals.

  • Vendor account information is up to date at all times in the CA Vendor doc.
  • Collect the data we need to evaluate all major Fixed/Shared Expenses.
  • Hold vendors accountable to meet all contractual requirements


Our Academic Operations run smoothly, efficiently, and effectively.

  • Provide as needed testing support and resources for our schools during testing.
  • Support the Academic team in meeting all goals.


Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred, project planning experience a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in school-based or network operation planning and implementation, ideally in a K-12 academic setting.
  • A strong service orientation and ability to think strategically and innovatively in order to continuously improve network and school-based operations.
  • Demonstrates ability of thinking big, managing multiple priorities and working with ambiguity.
  • Highly organized with the drive to meet organizational and departmental objectives.
  • Has strong time management skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. Demonstrates flexibility and ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • Demonstrates grit, personal responsibility, and has the ability to work independently.
  • Proactive problem-solver who is able to work successfully in a high-paced environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Google Suite.
  • Proven ability to communicate with and work well with all levels within an organization specifically working effectively within the culture and processes used in educational organizations including teachers, students, families, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in the face of competing demands and external pressures. Able to have difficult conversations in a respectful manner.
  • Relentless commitment to the mission of educating scholars, enjoys working with children.
