Job Summary
The Archives Evening Supervisor primarily oversees the evening use of Archives & Distinctive Collections' Reading Room. This includes greeting researchers upon arrival, pulling collections for use, ensuring Reading Room policies and procedures are followed and facilitating reproduction requests. S/he supervises the evening student workers and liaises with the library's Evening and Weekend Supervisors. Additionally, the Archives Evening Supervisor provides reference, processing and digitization support to the department. This includes performing basic archival functions such as processing collections, updating finding aids, digitizing materials, assisting with exhibits, and answering reference questions received via LibAnswers, email and phone. Other duties and special projects as assigned.
