Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Technology Services, the Assistant Director of Customer Relationship Management will serve as a subject matter expert for CRM platform. The incumbent will implement configuration changes; test application software and related bridges and feeds; provide support to CRM users including executive leadership; manage assigned budgets and provide supervision to support staff; and perform other duties as assigned.
The Assistant Director is responsible for developing and evaluating the Customer Relationship Management System for usage by students, faculty, and staff. This currently consists of Hobsons Radius, Degree Planner, and Starfish Enterprise Success Platform Solutions (MyCoyotePLAN). Full usage would comprise the entire CSN student population, faculty (including adjunct), and student and academic support services. This requires collaboration and cooperation across the institution. The goal is to increase and improve student access, enrollment, persistence and retention, and degree completion by offering students more value, consistency, and personalization throughout their educational journey at CSN; while simultaneously improving and promoting institutional growth, prosperity, efficiency and agility, and vitality.
The Assistant Director is responsible for researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production life cycle.
And is required to participate on project teams to design, configure, develop, test, and release applications/components pursuant to business and architectural requirements. CRM will affect approximately 80,000 students and prospective students; 2,800 faculty, adjuncts, and staff, to impact access, persistence, retention, progression, and completion. The Assistant Director will participate in evolving the existing system as business needs change.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Develop, implement, maintain, configure, and evaluate CRM platforms and applications and any related CRM systems on a day-to-day basis.
  • Maintain critical data, including the automation and manual updating of the daily data processes.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders for efficient implementation/maintenance of new products or systems and for resolution of any adaptation issues.
  • Implement enhancement requests for view changes, new fields, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues in a timely manner.
  • Test enhancements and bug fixes; make changes and corrections as needed.
  • Work directly with internal and external stakeholders to development partnerships to coordinate the implementation and maintenance of enterprise applications.
  • Consistently write, translate, and code software applications according to specifications.
  • Pre- and post-implementation support and maintenance of the applications.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to other applications as needed.
  • Maintain and oversee the CRM webpage.

  • Experience analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting sensitive and complex data and/or problems; defining issues; and developing and evaluating institution initiatives to support student engagement and success efforts.
  • Ability to utilize knowledge, experience, and available resources to find solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate and share relevant information with those who may be affected by decisions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ability to participate in formal and informal group problem solving for immediate issues.
  • Ability to convey technical and complex information to others in non-technical terms.
  • Ability to recognize immediate obstacles to completing work and initiate action to address the need without being directed.
  • Ability to see relationships between problem components and prioritize them.
  • Ability to determine points of collaboration between all student support enterprise applications.
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Info Systems or a closely related field from a regionally accredited College or University; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4 Years of working experience which may include 1 to 2 years of Supervisory experience.

Minimum Starting Salary Information:

Administrative Faculty D
The minimum starting salary is $75,564. The successful candidate may be placed above the minimum based on education and experience.
  • This position is contingent upon ongoing and available funding.
