Cole and Associates is Hiring a GIS Specialist II Near St. Louis, MO

Position: GIS Specialist II

Cole is a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary company providing Civil Engineering, Surveying, Landscape Architecture, ADA Transition Planning, and GIS services to our clients. Cole has a national presence with offices in St. Louis, St. Charles and O’Fallon, MO, Dallas, TX, and Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities:

Perform GIS data editing, manipulation, and quality control in a desktop GIS environment.

Perform advanced GIS functions including modelling and scripting.

Assist in the development and design of schemas and structure for GIS data.

Perform data conversions from Survey and CAD data types to GIS formats.

Perform spatial analysis utilizing the ArcGIS toolbox.

Develop custom and standard ArcGIS Pro projects to meet project specifications.

Process GIS data for use in mapping outputs, reporting, analysis, and presentations as requested.

Assist Senior GIS Operator with GIS field collection processes utilizing Survey123, ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcPad, or other related data collection technologies.

Assist other Cole team members with map production, analysis of spatial information, and provide technical support in new and existing GIS applications.

Performs related duties as directed.

Ability to function and perform at a high level in a fast-paced work environment.

Required Experience:

·Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Computer Science, Planning, Engineering, Surveying or related field.

·Two to four years of experience in GIS within the ESRI desktop GIS applications (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro); or an equivalent combination of education, training, experience.

·Experience in working with ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise systems.

·Experience with geoprocessing automation using Python and/or ArcGIS ModelBuilder.

·Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

·Ability to organize work, establish priorities, meet established deadlines, and follow up on assignments with a minimum of direction.

Preferred Experience:

·Familiarity with CAD file and data types (.dwg, .dgn) and data conversions/interoperability.

·Familiarity with civil design data and utility networks.

·Familiarity with raster data processing and LiDAR data and derivatives.

·GISP or other professional certifications.
